Suzuki GSX 8R: At EICMA 2023, Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki has introduced its new sports bike Suzuki GSX 8R. Like the V-Strome and GSX-8S, the Suzuki GSX-8R is also based on a twin-cylinder platform.
This fully faired motorcycle of the company has air ducts installed on the sides of full fairing, underbelly exhaust, split seats, clip-on bars and vertically-stacked headlight. The Suzuki GSX-8R bike has USD forks as well as a monoshock at the rear.
Apart from LED lights, it also has disc brakes at both ends and 17-inch wheels. This bike comes with many modern features apart from ride-by-wire, low RPM assist, traction control, bi-directional quickshifter, ride mode and ABS.
Engine details of Suzuki GSX-8R
In Suzuki GSX-8R bike, you get a 776cc parallel-twin engine based on liquid-cooled technology. This engine has the capacity to generate maximum power of 80 bhp and peak torque of 78 Nm.
The company has installed a 6-speed gearbox in this bike for better performance. This bike will compete with Yamaha R7 at the global level. The company has not yet given any information regarding its launch in the Indian market.
However, in the two wheeler market of the country, you will get to see a long range of Suzuki sports bikes to normal bikes and scooters. Talking about sports bikes, the company sells its Suzuki Katana and Hayabusa in the country’s market.
So in the normal bike segment, V-Storm, Gixxer and Gixxer SF are sold. In the scooter segment of the country, the company has scooters like Access, Avenis, Burgman Street and Burgman EX. In such a situation, it is now expected that soon the company can launch its new sports bike Suzuki GSX-8R in the country’s market.
